Internet Download Manager is a powerful file transfer manager that promises to accelerate downloads by up to 5 times. In addition, the application can also restart interrupted downloads and integrate into a large number of browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera.

Internet Download Manager's interface is clean and well-organized, with large, stylish buttons that facilitate the management of the files in process. It is a great organizer too, as every single download can be moved into a different folder, depending on its type. Plus, it has a rich settings menu where you can change the way the program handles certain file formats or the default download locations.

We tried the quick update function too, which worked like a breeze and basically updated the application with just a single click. It all came down to choosing whether to update or not, and the whole job was done by the integrated updater that automatically downloaded the new files and installed them on the computer.

The application encases all the features specific to a decent download manager, including drag and drop support, a task scheduler, virus protection, queue processor, HTTPS support, progressive downloading with quotas, command line parameters, sounds, ZIP preview and proxy servers.

The tests revealed that the CPU and memory footprint is minimal, but this also depends on the download speed and the overall size of the file.

Instructions:

1. Download the File and Extract the contents with 7-zip or equivalent.
2. Install the IDM 6.07.exe file first and then temporarily disconnect from internet by disabling your network adapter in Network Connections under Network and Sharing Centre option of Control Panel.
3. Open the .txt file provided and follow the instructions inside.. (Note: Do Not Click on Repair System File option on the Pop-up window that'll appear when you hit the register button or It'll reset your hosts file)
4. After you have registered your copy of IDM, Install the Latest Version Provided with in the Archive or you can always obtain and install latest version of IDM from this point on from hosting sites such as Filehippo.com, softepedia.com, cnet.com, majorgeeks.com etc.

Androplatina, the root toolkit aims to root all devices and more!

I have posted the tricks to root and/or unroot Samsung Galaxy Y and Galaxy Ace. There's different tricks for rooting different devices. Which is tedious tasks for newbies.
Well XDA recognized contributor, varun.chitre15, is working hard to make this easy to do for ALL devices and with one program none-the-less. It’s called “AndroPlatina” and is a toolkit to make hacking and modifying your Android device easy with just a few clicks.

Currently you are able to do the following with AndroPlatina:

1. Recovery Flasher
2. Any device unrooter
3. Bootanimation change

Keep in mind, this does not look like much but the goal is to make it work on all or at least most Android devices, and accomplishing this takes a lot of time. Varun.chitre15 has a goal of making all of the following work:

2. Any device Unrooter…Done in v1.1.0
3. Complete recovery tools(Almost all things which recovery can do)

Once complete, it will be a huge help for users who want to root and apply tweaks to their deivices. As this is a bit of a community project, you are invited to get involved and help make it happen. They are seeking help specifically with the recovery flasher, as some devices won’t not be supported until varun.chitre15 can find the recovery partition for that device.

A disclaimer on using root toolkits: Although they have a valid use, I personally advise you to try it manually first. Let me validate: basically you plug your phone in, click a button and the kit runs all the commands and roots your phone. Your probably thinking “Sweet! thats easy enough.” Your right, it is easy, but it also takes way from the fundamentals of rooting, such as learning ADB, Fastboot, how to run simple commands in terminal/command prompt. Not to mention, if you are having issues, you will know where to troubleshoot. I do see a valid use if you know what you are doing and just want to save time.
